Ambassador Demenongu A.Agev

H.E. Demenongu A. Agev assumed duty as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nigeria to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in July 2017.

He hold a Bachelors Degree in History from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria; Masters Degree in International Relations and Strategic studies from the Benue State University, Nigeria; and is in the process of completing a PhD Dissertation in Conflict Analysis and Resolution with the Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, USA. He also graduated from the Nigerian Foreign Service Academy and holds a certificate in Conflict Analysis from the United States Institute for Peace.

Ambassador Agev has multilateral and bilateral diplomatic experience that spans over a period of thirty years. Before assuming duty as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Algeria, he served among others, at the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Nigeria in Vienna, Austria, and the Embassy of Nigeria, Washington DC. He also served in various Departments in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Staff Development, Trade and Investment, Asia and Pacific, as well as the Middle East and Gulf.

Ambassador Agev is married and has three children.
